Mommy and Daughter Yoga Practice For Booty And Legs Workout

Is less really more?

Full disclosure: I went commando last week.

Watch The Video First

Joey Tribbiani and Rachel Green may have helped popularize the term on that famous Friends episode back in 1996. But 22 years later, I was able to try out "reinvented" leggings from Visakai. The new California-based brand launched earlier this year after raising more than $11,000 on Kickstarter. They've since released a range of styles, including a high rise pair with 4-way stretch and another with chic mesh detailing, and are even sold on Amazon.

Touted as costing around $20 less than my favorite pair of Lululemons, these leggings are supposed to give you a noticeable "booty boost" as well as eliminate the dreaded VPL (that’s "Visible Panty Line"). How is all of this possible, you ask? They require zero undies.
As a loyal underwear-er, I was hesitant to test them out. When I’m on a long run, I don’t really think about (or care) if people in Central Park are aware of my VPL. But for athleisure purposes (and the sake of testing my performance sans undies), I gave it a go.
I ran four miles in the VisakaiHigh Rise Fearless Legging ($75; amazon.com) and they were surprisingly comfortable—even better, they did seem to make my booty look amazing. In fact, a pal asked, "Are those the leggings you were talking about?" I rejoiced in my now-confirmed boosted booty.

However, I could feel what I was missing. Something about the vertical seam and constant motion on the treadmill was, er, less than pleasant. I think this is more of a personal preference, but when I put on my Visakai leggings a second time, I wore a pair of underwear.
But if you’re looking for a more secure way to go commando with comfort, I highly recommend Visakai. The functionality of these leggings prompted me to wear them during a recent half marathon, too. With two (two!) pockets at the band, you can easily fit your essentials (ID, credit card, and keys). It was also a particularly cold morning, and the added support of their not-too-thick, breathable material made me think more about my race and less about the temp.
With or without underwear, these leggings make you feel good. My next purchase will probably be the athleisure-encouraging High Rise Energy Legging ($78; amazon.com), which has sleek, moto-inspired accents.
The bottom line? Visakai lives up to the hype. Relatively affordable? Ranging from $69 to $78, I’d say check. Booty boosting? Double check. Freedom to go commando? If you’re into it, check

The One Thing Happy Couples Do Every Day to Keep Their Relationship Strong

Make your connection closer and deeper.

Watch The Videos

Not long ago at a wedding I attended, the rabbi offered the bride and groom a piece of very doable advice: The key to a long and happy union, he said, is to touch each other every single day. The touching can be as simple as a hug hello, he explained, or a gentle rub on the back. But to stay connected romantically and emotionally, a couple needs to stay connected physically—by literally connecting.

While the rabbi’s handsy advice made intuitive sense, I was curious: Was there any science to back it up?
The burgeoning field of touch research suggests the answer is an emphatic yes. Not only can affectionate touch promote feelings of bonding and attachment in couples, according to multiple studies, but in long-term relationships, it can also contribute to overall physical health and well-being.
“When touch is wanted, it basically communicates, ‘I’m on your side,’” David J. Linden, a professor of neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the author of the 2015 book Touch: The Science of Hand, Heart, and Mind, tells Health. Whether you’re touching or being touched, he says, “it’s pretty good for what ails you.”
And yet, while it’s common for couples to be very physical at the beginning of a relationship—to not be able to keep their hands off each other—over time, we often get distracted by the demands of work and home and just, well, forget to touch our partners. By being more mindful about how and when we touch our significant others, say experts, we can give our relationships a quick and easy boost. Here why.

Touching fuels your bond

If you want to feel emotionally close to your partner, look for opportunities to be physically close to him or her—so close that you can easily make contact. “What I say to people is stay in touch,” Helen Fisher, PhD, a biological anthropologist and senior research fellow at the Kinsey Institute, tells Health. “We are just built to touch—the brain is built to do this.”
The science works like this: When we’re touched by a romantic partner, we experience a surge in the hormone oxytocin, often called the “love hormone,” in the brain, which helps to sustain feelings of deep attachment. Walk arm in arm, hold hands, put your foot gently on top of the other person’s under the table, or learn to sleep in the other person’s arms, advises Fisher. “We’ve evolved all kinds of brain mechanisms to fall madly in love and stay in love,” she says, and touch is high among them.

Touching can ease stress

One of the most remarkable effects of touch is its ability to help our bodies and brains chill out. This is a phenomenon developmental psychologist Tiffany Field, PhD, director of the University of Miami’sTouch Research Institute, has spent decades studying in an effort to harness the power of touch to treat mental and physical health conditions. Generally speaking, “you want to keep yourself in a state of relaxation,” Field tells Health, “and touch from someone who is close to you really helps in doing that.”
When we touch or are touched by someone we’re close to, we produce more of the mood boosting neurotransmitter serotonin and less of the stress hormone cortisol, she explains—our heart rate and blood pressure go down, and our brain waves “change in the direction of relaxation.” What does this mean IRL? Studies have suggested that when we’re massaged, hugged, and otherwise lovingly touched before a stressful event (such as a work presentation), we’re better able to manage the stress; our bodies remain in a more mellow state.

Touching can lessen pain

Being hands-on with our partner has also been shown to work as a natural analgesic—something Pavel Goldstein, PhD, a pain researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder, observed intimately when his wife went into labor with their daughter. “My wife was in pain, and all I could think was, ‘What can I do to help her?’ I reached for her hand and it seemed to help,” he said in a 2017 news release. “I wanted to test it out in the lab: Can one really decrease pain with touch, and if so, how?”
In the resulting study, published in the journal Nature, Goldstein was indeed able to replicate his delivery-room finding on a small scale. In an experiment involving 22 heterosexual couples, Goldstein subjected the female half to a mild heat pain on the forearm for two minutes. When couples were allowed to hold hands, the women’s pain subsided. Even sweeter? The study also found that, while holding hands, the couples’ breathing and heart rates synchronized. (Aww.)

Touching can make you both healthier—and happier

When touch is wanted, it appears to be fantastic for our overall health—and the health of our relationships, say the experts. In a kind of domino effect, when we’re relaxed and receiving more feel-good chemicals and fewer stress ones, we’re better able to fight disease and infection, explains Field. “It’s very important that people remain in touch with each other to keep their stress levels down and their pain levels down—and keep their wellness up,” she adds.
But perhaps most convincing of all, research suggests that incorporating regular touch into one’s relationship is linked to higher relationship and partner satisfaction. “It’s amazing how touch can really facilitate relationships,” says Field. Let’s hope the bride and groom gave their rabbi a big hug for his hands-on advice.

The Dog Flu is Hitting Pets Hard This Year, and Here's What You Need to Know About It

Canine influenza has already hit multiple states and Canada And Also In All Over The World.

Just when you thought thecurrent flu epidemic couldn’t get any worse: Apparently, the nasty illness isn’t just infecting humans. There’s a bout of dog flu going around, and your poor pupper could be its next victim.

    Get All Videos Stuffs Here

Canine influenza has already hit Washington, California, Arizona, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Canada, Newsweek reported. And just like in people, thedog flu is extremely contagious — at least among the doggo community.
Since dogs can’t tell you they’re sick (where’s a pet translator when you need one?), you should keep an eye out for flu-like symptoms in your furry friend. The signs are similar to what we see in humans: coughing, sneezing, fever, a decrease in appetite, nasal discharge, or even just a general change in mood.
While you need not worry about catching the flu from your pet, you should bring him or her to the vet if you suspect they’re sick. Why? Up to 10% of untreated dog flu cases lead to death.
How serious, exactly, is the 2018 outbreak? The answer varies greatly depending on who you ask. Some say the dog flu has reached endemic levels this year. But others have said there’s been no increase in cases on the West Coast. There was one animal hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area, though, that did see 50 cases of dog flu over the course of two weeks. Plus, you can never be too careful.

Luckily, you can take precautions to help keep your

pup from getting the dog flu.

Canine influenza is spread through coughing, barking, or sneezing, according to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation. So use extra care if your pet regularly goes to a kennel, groomer, or day care facility. The disease can also be spread through objects or people who come in contact with sick dogs.
There’s also a fluvaccine for dogs, surprisingly enough. Though it doesn’t provide 100% protection against the dog flu, you should talk to your veterinarian to see if it’s right for your pet.

Is there anything sadder than seeing a dog with a bad

case of the sniffles? We think not.

If you’re a pet owner, just be extra cautious this winter. We can all work together to keep dog flu from spreading!

    Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

The Super Bowl of the canine world gets underway Monday when the 2018 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show takes center stage in New York City.
The historic event will air on FS1 from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on Monday and Tuesday. The New York event will give viewers a chance to observe highly trained and beautifully coiffed canines, as their owners put their charges through their paces.
This the 142nd Westminster Dog Show, which means it has been around a lot longer than the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Championship, the Stanley Cup and the Triple Crown thoroughbred races.
The top honor the Westminster Kennel Club offers is the Best in Show award. That prize will be handed out at the end of competition Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. The dogs will compete for titles among their groups, including herding, hound, working, sporting, non-sporting, toy and terrier.

There are hundreds of breeds that will participate in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
The show will see 2,882 dogs from 50 states and the nation's capital take part in this year's competition. Golden retrievers, French bulldogs and Labrador retrievers are the most-entered breeds in the event.
Rumor Has It, a German Shepherd, won the 2017 competition.
Terriers have won the Best in Show honors 46 times, and that's the most in the event's history. Sporting dogs have won 19 times, while dogs from the Working group have won 15 times, per The Sporting News. It seems likely a terrier will step forward and claim the Best in Show in 2018.
TY, a giant schnauzer, Preston, a puli, and Striker, a cocker spaniel, finished as the top three rated dogs in 2017 and will have an excellent chance to win the competition. Here's a look at the Dog News magazine top-20 rated dogs in 2017, per the Westminster website.
